WHITE WALLS IN A BLACK ROOM
We’ve been busy painting The Black Lodge over the past several weeks. First, it’s been painted from top to bottom – most walls in black, but the back wall remains a blue chroma.
Now, we’re making white gallery walls to house Malena Szlam Salazar’s Chronogram of Inexistent Time installation, which will go up in the next week, in time for its opening during WNDX.
As we’re prepping The Black Lodge at the same time as getting ready for three back-to-back outdoor cinema programs in two different locations as part of the Nuit Blanche / Culture Days celebrations, Arlea was overheard saying, “the title of this installation is very appropriate.”
